The trumpet, tuba, flute, biniou – electronic machines… He is a true all-round musician. The Breton singer Youn Kamm plays each of these instruments in turn with equal virtuosity and gusto.
As a binioù player he knows the complicity in a couple of traditional sonneurs (biniou and bombard). He has distilled the essence of the transcendental dancing of Breton Saturday night sessions, blending it with the figure dancing as a member of Pevar Den and Alambik Electrik, and has created new sound experiences, mixing traditional and contemporary musical composition (François Robin Expérience with Trafic Sonore).
He was involved with Jean-Louis Le Vallegant, one of the centerpieces of the Confidences Sonores, and an enthusiastic student of Erik Marchand at the heart of the Kreiz Breizh Akademi #3. He has spent five years now touring with his multiple instruments from the East to the West accompanied by virtuoso oriental trumpet player, Ibrahim Maalouf.
